Waste Aware North Lanarkshire - Glass Kerbside Collection.

The North Lanarkshire Glass Kerbside Collection scheme begins on the 6th October 2003. Delivery of the green bins used in this scheme will begin on the 8th September.

Please note that plastic bags should not be put in this bin.

What is and what isn't allowed in your green bin.

The following items are allowed in your green bin:

  • glass bottles & jars

The following items are not allowed in your green bin:

  • black glass
  • broken glass
  • china
  • drinking glasses

Please rinse your glass bottles & jars and remove all caps & lids and place them directly into your new recycling bin without using plastic bags. Please place your new recycling bin on the kerbside before 7am with the handles facing the road. You will be advised of any changes to this service over the Christmas & New Year period.

Your green bin will be collected monthly and should be put out on the kerbside by 7am on your collection day.
