Perth & Kinross: Paper Waste Kerbside Recycling
30,000 households in Perth & Kinross already recycle their paper waste from home.
From October 10,000 more household were added to the Paper Waste Kerbside Recycling Scheme.
Householders are provided with a BLUE lidded bin for the collection of Paper waste. Every household in the collection area has also received a leaflet giving more information about the scheme and detailing collection dates.

In order to generate high quality paper waste for recycling it is important that only the correct materials go into your blue lidded bin.
Please do not put the following materials into your blue lidded bin:
Recycling saves energy and resources and prevents the need for landfill. This can help prevent global warming.
After your paper waste is collected it will be taken to a reprocessing plant where it is pulped and recycled into newsprint and other paper products.
Please ensure that your brown lidded bin is out on the kerbside by 7.30am on your collection day. Your brown lidded bin will be collected every two weeks in the summer and every four weeks in the winter. A leaflet detailing the collection dates has been distributed to each household in the kerbside collection area.
