Dundee: Paper Kerbside Recycling

Many householders in Dundee are provided with a BLUE bin for the collection of waste paper. Every household in the collection area has also received a leaflet detailing collection dates.

If you need further information on this scheme please contact the Waste Management Dept on 01382 432777.

WHAT can I recycle?

Your BLUE BIN allows you to recycle:

  • Junk mail
  • Office paper
  • Newspaper and magazines
  • Telephone directories including Yellow Pages

Please do not put any other materials in your blue bin – please take cardboard to a Recycling Centre or Point

WHY should I recycle?

Recycling saves energy and resources and prevents the need for landfill. This can help prevent global warming.

After your waste paper is collected it is sorted and baled, and taken to a paper mill. Here the paper is pulped, filtered and de-inked, and the pulp is used in the manufacture of new paper products.

WHEN can I recycle?

Please ensure that your blue bin is on the kerbside by 7.30am on your collection day. Your blue bin will be emptied from the kerbside according to your calendar. A leaflet detailing the collection dates has been distributed to each household in the kerbside collection area. If you haven’t received one, please contact the Waste Management Dept on 01382 432777.
