The Judging process is complete and the verdict is in...
For the past six months the National Recycling Awards has been gathering entries from the recycling industry's finest. Judging took place on the 21st and 24th of September, and the finalists were announced in today's issue of MRW. (1st October 2004.)
This year we had a record number of entries and the high quality of our finalists this year reflects this.
Jane Rayner, Group Editor of Materials Recycling Week and Chairman of the judging panel said: "We were very pleased with the record number of entries this year and the quality was certainly high. In some categories this made judging more difficult trying to choose overall winners. The entries clearly demonstrated the amount of hard work that is being carried out on recycling initiatives around the country and finalists should be very proud of their achievements."
The winners will be announced by tennis star and TV personality Pat Cash at an industry dinner to be held at the International Centre in Telford on Tuesday 02 November. Liz Morris is taking bookings for tables on 020 8277 5501.
The awards are open to any organisation, community group or company who are involved in recycling, play an active part in the process, or who are involved in the production chain of recycled products. Each award had different qualifying criteria that had to be met.
