SWAG The Scottish Waste Awareness Group was formed in 2000. SWAG is committed to changing public attitudes and behaviour towards waste. Our objectives are:
The Steering Group SWAG is steered by a group on which a broad range of stakeholders are represented. These are the Scottish Executive, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA), the Convention of Scottish Local Authorities (CoSLA), The Chartered Institute of waste management (CIWM), the Community Recycling Network Scotland (CRNS) and lastly, the Recycling Advisory Group for Scotland (RAGS). The group is chaired by John Summers, Director of Keep Scotland Beautiful.
