Bags don't grow on trees

East Renfrewshire Council recently ran a competition for a reusable bag design.  The winning design, 'Bags don't grow on trees', was designed by Sarah McNicol, aged 10, who attends Our Lady of the Missions Primary School.

The Council had 2000 reusable bags produced.  They are 100% cotton, strong, and ideal for shopping.  The bags are to raise awareness of the need to reduce and reuse resources.  They have been distributed at the Clarkston Farmer's Market and Primary School's Christmas fayres.  Limited supplies are available in libraries throughout East Renfrewshire.  The bags will also be used by traders at the Christmas Farmer's Market and Arts and Craft Sale at Clarkston Halls on Sunday 19th December.
