Moray Dry Recyclate Communal Recycling Points for Flatted Properties

83% of people living in Moray told us that they would like to recycle at the kerbside. In response to this, The Moray Council Kerbside Recycling Service was launched at Elgin Town Hall on Tuesday the 24th of August. This scheme will initially allow approximately 6000 householders in Forres and Kinloss to recycle at the kerbside.

Over the next 18 months the service will be rolled out across the council area in four phases;

Forres, Kinloss & Findhorn - September 2004
Elgin area (Aberlour, Burghead,Dufftown, Fochabers, Hopeman, Lhanbryde,
Lossiemouth, Rothes) - March 2005
Elgin - September 2005
Buckie & Keith - March 2006

Settlements with over 500 households will be provided with the Kerbside Recycling service. The scheme will eventually serve 82% of households in Moray.
