New High Rise Household Recycling Service

On the 23rd of October 2004, a high rise household recycling service became available to 1500 households in the following areas: Calendar Park Towers, Coretin Court, Breton Court, Parkfoot Court, Glenbrae Court, Glenfuir Court and Greenbank Court. A blue bag and a blue bin have been provided to replace your existing Action Recycle blue bag.

WHAT can I recycle?

BLUE BAG
Your blue bag has been provided to allow you to recycle your paper, including newspaper, magazines, catalogues and leaflets.

Please help us to recycle as much waste as possible:

  • Do not put other items in the blue bag as this makes the recycling process more difficult.

BLUE BIN
Your blue BIN has been provided to allow you to recycle your cans, lightweight cardboard and plastic bottles.

Lightweight cardboard includes clean cardboard, food packaging such as breakfast cereal boxes, and toilet roll inserts.

Plastic bottles include plastic milk bottles, drinks bottles and detergent bottles.

Please help us to recycle as much waste as possible:

  • Please rinse out and squash your cans and plastic bottles before placing them into your blue bin.
  • Please remove plastic bottle tops and lids, as these cannot be recycled.
  • Please do not put cardboard milk or juice cartons into your blue bin as these cannot be recycled.
  • Please do not put your cans, lightweight cardboard or plastic bottles into plastic bags or liners before placing them into your blue bin, as this makes the sorting process more difficult.

EXISTING WASTE CHUTE
Your non-recyclable waste should still be placed in the existing waste chute.

Large and bulky items can be uplifted by calling the Council’s Special Uplift number on 01324 50 4411.

Please continue to take your glass bottles and jars to your nearest glass Recycling Points. (Call Falkirk Council’s Recycling Helpline on 01324 50 44 44 to find out where your nearest Points are)

WHEN can I recycle?

Your blue bag and bin were delivered to your doorstep the weekend of 23rd/24th October 2004.

Please mark your bin with your flat number in the space provided on the label. The blue bag and bin are emptied weekly on the new collection day as shown below
