The 2nd - 8th of May 2004 sees the fourth UK
wide Compost Awareness Week campaign. Compost Awareness Week aims to encourage
the public to make and use compost. This year’s theme is, “Be
resourceful…Compost!”
Here are some of the events that are going on so why not get involved?
Saturday 1st
Venue: Moray Wastebusters, Waterford Road, Forres
Time: 10am-4pm
Details: Information, children's activities and discounted composters
are all provided.
Sunday 2nd
Venue: Asda, Elgin
Time: 10am-2pm
Details: Information, children's activities and discounted composters
are all provided.
Monday 3rd
Venue: Turriff
Details: Part of 'May Day Extravaganza' event. Information, children's
activities and discounted composters are all provided.
Tuesday 4th
Venue: St Giles Centre, Elgin
Time: 10am-3pm
Details: Compost surgery allowing people to drop in for advice.
Wednesday 5th
Venue: St Giles Centre, Elgin
Time: 10am-3pm
Details: Compost surgery that allows people to drop in for advice.
Saturday 8th
Venue: Leith Hall, Kennethmoth
Time: 2pm-4pm
Details: Compost workshop with presentations on how to compost.
Saturday 8th May
Venue: Braeport Centre, Dunblane
Time: 1pm - 4pm
Details: Composting Workshop (and Environment Fair)
