87% of people living in Aberdeen City want to recycle at home.

Aberdeen City launches a new fortnightly kerbside collection scheme on Monday 9th February. The collection scheme allows 20,000 households in the north of the city to recycle cans, glass, plastic bottles, cardboard and paper on their doorstep.

The households will be provided with a black box to recycle cans, glass and plastic bottles and a white bag for cardboard and paper. Every household will also receive a leaflet giving more information about the scheme and detailing collection dates.

Currently households are issued with one black box and one white bag. Families with five or more in the household can request additional containers. If you need further information on this scheme please contact info@wascot.org.uk or telephone 01224 52 33 10.
