Alloa Community Enterprises (ACE)

Founded in 1984, Alloa Community Enterprises was first formed as a furniture project. From the beginning, ACE has aimed to create employment, alleviate poverty and protect the environment for the benefit of the local community.

ACE has since expanded and diversified into other areas, such as recycling glass, paper, cans, textiles and paint. However, the furniture Reuse project is still very much part of their activities. The project depends on donations of furniture from members of the public in both Stirling and Clackmannanshire. ACE collects beds, suites (with fire labels), wardrobes, chests of drawers and coffee tables. If you wish to donate furniture and you live in Stirling or Clackmannanshire, please contact Claire at ACE on 01259 723094. All goods are uplifted free of charge.

Some of this furniture is sold at cut prices for those on low incomes through ACE’s shop in Alloa, Clackmannanshire. The rest of the donations are made into furniture starter packs for those previously homeless. This activity is run in partnership with Clackmannanshire Council's Housing Department. For general enquires please contact the main office on 01259 215090 or e-mail enquiries@recycleit.org.uk
