A-Z Disposal Guide

Recycle is the third and final level of the waste hierarchy. Recycling recovers value from things that would otherwise simply be disposed of. It saves energy, natural resources and may help prevent global warming.

There are many things you can recycle such as glass, paper, steel and aluminium from cans and foil, plastics. Different systems are available to help us recycle materials; the most common ones are Recycling Points or kerbside collection schemes. The second example is being introduced by many Local Authorities across Scotland and will increase steadily over the next decade.

To find out where the Recycling Point nearest to you is check out Sort It.
